The Story

For the love of her animals.
Ash aka Ascheron was the runt of the litter, like the proverbial ugly duckling.  Mrs. "E" was not aware that her daughter was on the lookout for a puppy, and bang this little rascal landed a forever home where all the love in the world would rain on him like only the Gauteng Highveld thundershowers know how to come down, in abundance.

As Mrs. "E" explained to us, Ash was a wonderful and easygoing puppy, not naughty to the extreme.  Mischievous yes, but not chewing shoes, slippers and household goods.  The reason was he was kept occupied with lots of toys and probably the most important toy during his puppy stage was his rope with all sorts of small bottle lids tied between knots.  He would shake the rope vigorously from side to side and in turn, the lids would hit him on the head, on the ribs, in fact all over.  Of course, when the lids hit the tiles it made a knocking sound. Ash enjoyed hours of amusement and fun running around shaking his rope with the lids.
As the days and weeks progressed, Ash grew up and way too soon he was 18 months old, a beautiful boy.

All too soon circumstances changed for the worst, the dreaded, unforeseen, beyond control incident was placed in front of Mrs. "E" when she had to take up living with her son in Cape Town who so happened to have two Weimaraners of his own, Eedie and Enzo.

Ash could not accompany Mrs. "E" to Cape Town, the reason being, although Ash and Enzo were huge playmates some time ago, at this point they outgrew each other.  With them both being physical big males the dangers were obvious in terms of dominance and one of them getting badly hurt should they have a fight for dominance and territory was a grave thought.

Ash was destined to be fostered and live with Mrs. "E's" daughter for the time being.

To date,  Ash has been fostered and living with Mrs. "E's" daughter with circumstances not ideal for Ash to live his life in full.  Mrs. "E" trained Ash herself, for three years now he had no training.  Exercise is limited to the space he has, whereas he was used to be taken every morning at first light for his chase and play with his ball, to sniff around a huge park for at least an hour seven days a week.  Ash slept on the bed, he had soft plush toys, ropes to play with, a multitude of balls to play with.  Where he is now, he has none of this.
Mrs. "E" is heartbroken because her soulmate does not have the luxury of all the love, play and exercise he deserves.  He is fed daily and for the rest, he merely exists as just a dog.

This would send anybody reeling from the life Ash was used to, to this, a life he did not deserve.  Due to stress and being in a state of depression Ash licks his feet which then become raw open wounds. - January 2020.

Mrs. "E" is very adamant that Ash did not ask to be in this situation and it is for her to ensure Ash is returned to his rightful life where he is showered with love, his training taken up and reinforced again, exercised on a daily basis, have his plush toys, ropes and balls to play with, be reunited with Spokie and Muis his feline playmates and companions, and live the life he deserves.

Mrs. "E" is determined to not look the other way, she refuses to give up on her animals and to have them reunited with her.  Ash is her soulmate, his love is unconditional, and she refuses to give him up.

Update:  17 November 2021
Mrs. "E" visited her daughter three weeks ago October 2021 to 10 November 2021 and found Ash is in severe distress, he is beyond depressed which results in him licking his feet at night.  Ash was taken to the Vet who placed him on Clomicalm to circumvent his distress, depression and anxiety. Only time will tell how well the medication will do its work.

Your impact, kindness, compassion and empathy will ensure Ash to be reunited with his human he loves more than himself and he will protect her with his life.
